6 Days Mount Meru Trek

Day 1: Arrival

As you touch down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a warm Tanzanian welcome awaits you! Your designated guide will escort you directly to your hotel, where you can unwind and immerse yourself in the vibrant African ambiance. The following day, embark on an exclusive, personalized safari adventure led by your guide, granting you the freedom to explore at your leisurely pace.

Day 2: Marangu Gate (1,830 M/ 6,000 FT) - Mandara Huts (2,700 M/ 8,858 FT)

We begin the day with a morning transfer to Momela Gate, situated at an elevation of 1500 meters, to commence our ascent. A leisurely 3-hour walk brings us to Mariakamba Hut. In the afternoon, we delve into the exploration of the Meru Crater. Our accommodation for the night is at Mariakamba Hut, where we'll rest and rejuvenate for the adventures ahead.

Day 3: Mandara Huts (2,700 M/ 8,858 FT) - Horombo Huts (3,720 M/ 12,204 FT)

We'll embark on a climb to Saddle Hut, a journey spanning approximately three hours along the steep walls of the Saddle. In the afternoon, we'll venture to explore Little Meru, reaching an altitude of 3820 meters—a climb of about 1 ½ hours. Our accommodation for the night is at Saddle Hut, where we'll settle in and prepare for the next leg of our journey.

Day 4: Horombo Huts (3,720 M/ 12,204 FT) - Kibo Huts (4,700 M/ 15,419 FT)

We'll begin our ascent towards Saddle Hut, a trek that typically takes about three hours navigating along the steep walls of the Saddle. Later in the afternoon, we'll embark on an exploration of Little Meru, ascending to an altitude of 3820 meters, a climb that usually takes around 1 ½ hours. Our overnight stay will be at Saddle Hut, providing a restful sanctuary as we prepare for the adventures that lie ahead.

Day 5 - 6: Final Day and Flight Back to Home

On your final day, luxuriate a while longer at the lodge, basking in relaxation before our driver escorts you to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your homeward-bound flight, tailored to suit your departure schedule.
